When are cash registers compulsory? What types are there? What advantages does a SCHULTES bluepos® POS system offer? There are often numerous questions about cash registers. We have summarized the most frequently asked ones and briefly provide the most important answers.

There is currently no obligation for cash register systems in Germany. This means that you can also use a so-called open cash register. However, the disadvantages are obvious: you have less control, less transparency and no supporting functions for your bookkeeping. The legislator is also planning to introduce a “cash register obligation” for 2027 for certain turnover thresholds. If the legislator tightens the current requirements, you will not need to retrofit later if you opt for one of our cash register solutions now.
